Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA), your guide will meet you and drive you to the hotel located at Arusha for your overnight stay.

After breakfast drive to Tarangire National Park. Despite the relative secrecy of Tarangire, during the dry season it is part of the migratory movement, and is second only to Ngorongoro Crater in concentration of wildlife. Tarangire is known as the “land of giants” as it has the largest population of African’s elephants and the long-living majestic Baobab trees.

After breakfast we drive to Ngorongoro crater. The crater was formed from a collapsed volcano, leaving a massive bowl-shaped caldera. This area is now a self-sustained ecosystem, which supports the largest population of wildlife in an area of 250 square km. Enjoy the photogenic landscape of the crater floor and the comfortable temperatures of the Ngorongoro highlands. Your lodge is located at the rim of the crater for your overnight stay.

After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara National Park, the park famous for its tree-climbing lions. The park, with an area of 330 square km lies along the base of the rift valley escarpment, with two thirds of its surface covered by the shallow alkaline Lake Manyara. Its diverse vegetation creates dramatic scenery. Later, drive to your hotel in Arusha for your overnight stay.

Today you will have a full day to take advantage of a variety of activities offered by the lodge, starting with bush walking to the highest point of the edge of lake Chala. Next, take a kayaking trip which takes you to the Kenyan border whilst enjoying the view of Mount Kilimanjaro.

After breakfast we head off to the Usambara mountains. We drive through some small towns, the sisal plantations and villages. The Usambara mountain range is home to an exceptional number of plant and bird species, representing one of the greatest biodiversity on the African continent. On your arrival you’ll have an evening walk to a spectacular view of Irente Biodiversity Reserve.

Today you will have 6 hours walking to Magamba rainforest, walking through farmland, villages, and the lush green Magamba rainforest. Enjoy some local food after the walk. The Magamba rainforest is the home of the black and white colobus monkey, chameleons and a variety of plants species. In the afternoon visit the magnificent Kisasa waterfalls.

After breakfast at your hotel, head off to Ushongo beach, Pangani. The journey to the coastline beach of Ushongo will take 4 hours. From the Usambara mountains, you will drive through the towns of Korogwe, Muheza and the old town of Pangani. Enjoy the local Swahili food and later on you’ll take the ferry to your hotel located at Ushongo beach.

Relax and enjoy an authentic beach experience, devoid of crowds and beach boys. Located on ‘one of the world’s best beaches’ Ushongo is visited by far fewer tourists compared to Zanzibar. It is gorgeous, away from the crowds, with excellent food, and friendly, attentive staff.

After breakfast transfer to Dar es Salaam for your flight back home. This is the end of your tour in Tanzania.
