DAY TRIP TO MKOMAZI NATIONAL PARK

  This is my 2nd individually tailored trip with Long way expeditions. I cannot praise enough the professionalism and care that Ann takes in planing safaris according to ones wishes... Read more only to be later fulfilled by the outstanding driver/guide Abu. Before the 4 days migration calving, 1 day in Tarangire, and after 2 days in Central Serengueti. This time I always stayed inside the Parks, and it makes a huge difference in atmosphere and length of time in awe of the wild animals living their own life. Ann+ Abu are a sweet and perfect double act. The only downside is that it is hard to leave the Tanzania that they did organize for us to revel. Abu is an expert in explaining the behavior of the many wonderful animals in those huge parks which display a variety of scenery and seasonal changes in color. I cannot wait to go again...

We booked a 6-day Safari that included Lake Natron, Serengeti and Ngoro Ngoro Crater. When we arrived for our Safari we were greeted at Arusha Airport by our Safari guide Abu and later briefed in detail by Ann; we immediately felt at home and well taken care of.

Our accommodations throughout the trip were all very special, with the kindest staff and best service - extremely good value for money. These lodges and camps also provided our lunch for throughout the Safari days - they were very good-quality and well-balanced meals.

Abu is very tuned into his profession. He is an attentive and extremely reliable driver and guide. He has great respect for the land as well as exceptional knowledge. We learned a lot about the history of the land and tribes and the company ensures that all activities are organized responsibly with locals - a very authentic trip.

We travelled in a group of 4, but soon felt as if Abu was the missing 5th member of our group on the trip. We all got along very well and we hope to see him and Ann again very soon!

Read more organizer of the Long Way Team; after many mails and attending to my requests, we agreed on an 8 day Safari, whose focal points would be Tarangire and Serengeti Parks., though others were included. Not everything was smooth, as most unpaved roads are rather bumpy/shaky, BUT otherwise It was an awesome trip/safari. The wealth of stunning diverse scenarios even within the smaller park (e.g. Arusha) + the richness of animal life is beyond any wild expectation. To me, however, the Human factor is paramount: Tanzanians are naturally kind/welcoming and aware of their duties. Our Drivers/Guides are great knowledgeable professionals, Nathan and then for longer ABU. ABU became our friend, reliable carer: always in good mood, sweet, caring, attentive; it was really difficult to part from the beautiful enterprising couple: ANN+ ABU. I look forward for a longer safari with them.

The little details are everything e.g. a welcome pack gift, messages after trips to check-in to collect feedback felt genuine and caring
My main guide Nathan was exceptional. He was attentive to my style of exploration and adventure and adapted to this e.g. changing lunch plans so I could explore town life, taking longer at certain destinations because I favored the view/animals
How wonderful it felt to have the entire Longway Expeditions team come to the airport to bid me farewell
I departed hoping, vowing to return with my family one day, so they could meet the Longway Expedition family and friends team which I class as dear friends, who gave me magic moments that will last a lifetime
