4 DAYS BUDGET SAFARI

PRICE:  from $884 p/person sharing

The great big game experiences without going over the top and you won’t completely abandon the idea of comfort and style either.

This tour takes you to Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara National Park and Tarangire National Park.
Please note that below is a sample of the safari plan. We can customise the itinerary according to your preference.

Best time for this tour is January, February, March, June, July, August, September, November and December.

DAY 1:  ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER TO ARUSHA

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA), your guide will meet you and drive you to the hotel located at Arusha for your overnight stay. From Kilimanjaro International Airport to your hotel is 1 hour.

Accommodation:  Mvuli Hotel
Meals:  Bed & Breakfast

DAY 2:  TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast drive to Tarangire National Park. Despite the relative secrecy of Tarangire, during the dry season it is part of the migratory movement, and is second only to Ngorongoro Crater in concentration of wildlife. This park is much more densely wooded than Serengeti with acacia, mixed woodland, and the ubiquitous baobab, although you’ll find grassland on the plains where cheetahs hunts.

Accommodation: Marera Valley Lodge
Meals: All meals included

DAY 3:  NGORONGORO CRATER

After an early breakfast we drive to Ngorongoro crater. The crater was formed from a collapsed volcano, leaving a massive bowl-shaped caldera.  This area is now a self-sustained ecosystem, which supports the largest population of wildlife in an area of 250 square km. Enjoy the photogenic landscape of the crater floor and the comfortable temperatures of the Ngorongoro highlands. Your lodge is located at the rim of the crater for your overnight stay.

Accommodation:  TBC
Meals: All meals included

DAY 4:  LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

After an early morning breakfast, head off to lake Manyara National Park, the park known for it’s tree-climbing lions. It’s been suggested that this unusual behaviour probably started during a fly epidemic when the cats climbed high to escape the swarms of biting flies on the ground, so present ongoing behavior is now part of their collective memory. Lake Manyara National Park is small, stretching only some 330 square km (127 square miles) along the base of the escarpment, with two thirds of it’s surface taken up by shallow alkaline Lake Manyara. Late afternoon drive to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight back home or you can extend this trip to Zanzibar.
